Our 2008 Summer Season under our new director, Clair Neamand,
is now concluded. Although it was brief, it included our first ever appearance
at Coca-Cola Park for the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs, the Cicada Festival at
beautiful Mt. Gretna, and our highly successful season ending concert at the
Zoellner Performing Arts Center with our special guests, the World Famous
Allentown Band as well as a performance with the band at Symphony Hall for their
annual Pearl Harbor Day/Holiday Concert.
So although our 2008 Summer concert schedule was shorter than
normal, we have a full schedule again for 2009 with several new venues.
The 2009 Schedule will start to appear on our schedule page as the season nears,
and we will be singing in several new venues for Summer Harmony. Please plan to
join us this year.
Our first rehearsal for the 2008 season was held on May 28
when the choir first got to enjoy the directing of Clair Neamand. Photos from
that rehearsal follow:
If you wish to host a Summer Harmony Concert during the Summer of
2010, please contact our "scheduler", Doug
Helfrich, via email for more for details. We have filled our schedule for
2009, but are already looking for a concerts for next year.
On Monday, July 21, 2008, the new Summer Harmony debuted at the new
Coca-Cola Park to sing the National Anthem. Since the Phillies record is 6-1
when we sing for them, we were glad to get an Iron Pigs win in our first
performance for them. Below are a few photos of our performance:

Allentown Band at Symphony Hall.
